Box2d Flash Alchemy Port + World Construction Kit

This looks really good and really fast.

World Construction Kit is is a toolset / framework for rapidly developing physics based games / websites within the Flash IDE. WCK allows you to layout your 2d worlds / game levels entirely within Flash and have them hook into the physics simulation without writing any code. Documentation located on the GitHub wiki page..”

Sideroller is a nice game in development using it, the whole game is on a wheel.

Multitouch DJing

Love this DIY floating multitouch screen and the whole multitouch djing but i think he needs some headphones.

Color of Theory

Nice little game, the coloured + symbols remove different parts of the levels, gravity is reversed and there are spikes and more.

Tenori-On, ToneMatrix and JavaScript Tenorion

Wonderful music making devices!

It all started with the Yamaha Tenori-On LED Performance Instrument:

Then  Andre Michelle created the ToneMatrix in Flash

And now JavaScript Tenorion using HTML 5 Canvas and the Sion AS3 library:

** Warning: Can be CPU intensive. Safari / Chrome for best results. If you do not have a fast CPU, use less effects in the checkbox options.

This is a nice implementation as you have control over the instrument and effects

Some Nice Demos

Hakim El Hattab has created some nice demos, all very interactive

Mind Controll Hardware

You must have seen one of the mind control games that were released last year…

If you missed them here are the 2 big ones:

Uncle Milton Star Wars Force Trainer: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Uncle-Milton-Star-Force-Trainer/dp/B001UZHASY

And Mindflex Game : http://mindflexgames.com/ http://www.amazon.co.uk/P2639-Mattel-Mindflex-Game/dp/B001UEUHCG

Now people are starting to create their own system…

This post details how to hack up the Mindflex game with an Arduino to roll your own: http://ericmika.com/itp/brain-hack

And  Emotiv EPOC developer headset is an expensive but probably a more receptive and polished looking alternative

“Based on the latest developments in neuro-technology, Emotiv has developed a revolutionary new personal interface for human computer interaction.  The Emotiv EPOC is a high resolution, neuro-signal acquisition and processing wireless neuroheadset.  It uses a set of sensors to tune into electric signals produced by the brain to detect player thoughts, feelings and expressions and connects wirelessly to most PCs.”

Basically this headset and the SDK Emotiv provide we can turn brain signals into controls/input for virtually any software, game, website, robot or anything controlled by a computer or electronics.

Full info here: http://www.emotiv.com/apps/epoc/297/

I’m not a neuroscientist but I would imagine that you could only do very basic things with this technology.

I can’t wait to see all the different experiences people come up with.

Addictive Game

It reminds me of Jezzball on the PC, I spent days playing that game as a kid.

Sketch Chair

This looks really good for prototyping and it gives you the templates to produce the item, I sure people will find other uses for this apart from chairs.

London Metropolitan Police Crime Map

Moving to a new area and want to see how safe it is?
This map is really good; you can drill down to small areas and see the data for different crime types like residential burglary.
